Lg phase also can be described as superposition of a higher mode of Love and Rayleigh waves. The mechanisms proposed to explain the excitation of Lg phase by explosions are: shear waves generated by inhomogeneity near the source, scattering effects that transfer P-wave or surface wave (Rg) energy into Lg, S-wave energy generated by spall which is an efficient source of Lg, nongeometrical S phase and P-wave converted S-wave trapped in the crustal wave guide. Lg phase is one of the main phases produced by an underground nuclear explosion even with low yield. This phase has a sharp beginning with high amplitude in the short period seismograms in regional distances. The group velocity of Lg phase is about 3.5 kmls. Lg phase is a proper phase for yield estimation of underground nuclear explosions because of having a symmetric and radial pattern, lack of high attenuation and less scattering of mb(Lg) compared with the magnitude derived from other phases. In this paper, 16 underground nuclear explosions at Semipalaninsk Test Site (STS, in east Kazakhstan) recorded by SRO, Mashhad, have been investigated. The yields of these explosions were announced by Stevens and Murphy (2001). Maximum peak to peak amplitude for periods of 1 to 1.5 seconds was read in the group velocity window of 3.2 to 3.6 km/s as the amplitude of Lg phase. Then mb(Lg) was determined by using the formula presented by Nuttli (1986a). The relationship between computed mb(Lg) and announced yield (Y in kt TNT) of 16 explosions of STS was derived as mb(Lg) = 0.564 log(Y) + 4.863. This relationship is recommended for yield estimation of STS nuclear explosions from SRO, Mashhad.}, keywords = {group,Magnitude of Lg phase,Nuclear explosions,SROمشهد,Yield Estimation}, title_fa = {برآورد قدرت انفجارهای هسته ای سمیپالاتینسک با استفاده از فازLg}, abstract_fa = {فازLG که فازی ناحیه ای است، به منزلهء امواج برشی به دام افتاده در هدایت گر موج پوسته ای یا در حکم برهم نهی مدهای بالای امواج سحی ریلی و لاو در نظر گرفته می شود. سازو کارهای ایجاد فازها در انفجارهای هسته ای عبارت اند از: تولید امواج برشی به واسطه ایجاد ناهمگنی در محیط اطراف انفجار،پدیدهء پراکندگی امواج PوRg.و تبدیل أن ها به امواج برشی، پدیدهءspall، فاز غیر هندسی s* و فازpsکه امواج برشی حاصل با به دام افتادن در پوسته باعث ایجاد فازlg می شوند. فازlg یکی از فازهای عمدهء حاصل از انفجارهای هسته ای زیرزمینی حتی با قدرت کم است که در لرزه نگاشت های دورهء کوتاه در فواصل محلی، با دامنهء آغازین بزرگ، دارای شروعی واضح است. سرعت گروه فازlgدرحدود 3/5کیلومتر بر ثانیه است. فازlg به علت داشتن الگوی تشعشعی همگن، متقارن، تضعیف نشدن زیاد در مسیر انتشار، پراکندگی کم تر بزرگی حاصل از این فاز در مقایسه با بزرگی حاصل از فازهای دیگر یک فاز مناسب برای برآورد قدرت انفجارهای هسته ای زیر زمینی محسوب می شود. در این مطالعه 16 انفجار هسته ای شرق قزاقستان که در منطقهء سمیپالالتینسک انجام شده و توسط ایستگاه لرزه نگاری sro مشهدوابسته به مؤسسه ژئوفیزیک دانشگاه تهران ثبت شده، مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و قدرت برآورد شده است. بیشینهء دامنهpeak-to-peak برای دو ره های 1 تا 1/5 ثانیه در داخل پنجرهء سرعت گروه2/3 تا6/3 کیلومتر بر ثانیه در نقش دامنهء فازlg قرائت شد. بعد با توجه به رابطهء ناتلی (1986 a) بزرگی حاصل از این فاز به دست آمد. رابطهmb(lg)=.564 log(y)+4.863 بین بزرگی فازlg محاسبه شده وقدرت گزارش شده (y بر حسب کیلوتن (TNTبه منظور برآورد قدرت انفجارهای هسته ای شرق قزاقستان که ایستگاه لرزه نگاریSROمشهد آن را ثبت کرده است، تعیین شد.}, keywords_fa = {group,Magnitude of Lg phase,Nuclear explosions,SROمشهد,Yield Estimation}, url = {https://jesphys.ut.ac.ir/article_10822.html}, eprint = {https://jesphys.ut.ac.ir/article_10822_587d5d6f1fc082c671d99525ac019ccf.pdf} }
