The capability of analytic signal to determine the edges and consequently the width of the gravity anomalies is discussed. Several synthetic models are applied and finally we found that this method is suitable for anomalies where the ratio of the depth to width is less than 0/3. Meanwhile the calculated width is usually equal or less than the actual width.
